Deploy Amazon Web Services Plugin to Cloud Control

To monitor AWS RDS Database via Cloud Control (13c), a plugin needs to be deployed on OEM. Here are some rough notes, for my own reference.

Import Plug-in to OMS On OMS Server, invoke emcli 

emcli login -username=<oms_username> password=<oms_password> -host="<host_where_plug-in_copied>"

Note: Above host needs to be one that is already managed by OEM and preferred credentials must be set Successful import will display message along the lines of:


Processing update: Plug-in - Enterprise Manager for Amazon Web Services Successfully uploaded the update to Enterprise Manager. Use the Self Update Console to manage this update.


Perform a cli sync 

emcli sync


Deploy the Plug-in via OEM Log into the OMS Console and navigate to:


Setup > Extensibility > Plug-ins

Locate and highlight the Plug-in Amazon Web Services

From the top menu Click Deploy On > Management Servers
